Description
Oren is tall and slender, but not to the point of being lanky. He carries himself well, yet tends to be casual and does things at his own pace.

General Overview
The first in his family to enroll in Starfleet, Oren has wanted to see the universe with his own eyes for as long as he can remember. Naturally curious, he often got into trouble as a child for toying with things he should have left alone. Oren can be stubborn and impulsive at times, although most often he tends keep to himself. He rarely opens his mouth unless he has something relevant to say and is quite practical. Oren is very easy going for an Andorian, but when someone manages to upset him, he isn’t one to just let it go. Oren is polite towards others, but he can also be very cynical.

Strengths & Weaknesses
Oren is curious by nature and does not give up when things get tough, he is passionate about his career in Starfleet. He is an accomplished pilot and also has a natural talent for learning new languages.

At times Oren can be lazy and inattentive, if he judges a task to be to monotonous.

Ambitions
To see and experience as much of the universe as possible, while continuing to improve his piloting skills.

Hobbies & Interests
Oren enjoys aerobatics, swimming, hiking, military history, antiquities and from time to time likes to play donjat. He also tries to stay informed on the engineering side of spacecraft, as he believes it helps him to be a better pilot.

History
Oren was born and grew up on his native Andoria. His parents originally formed a Quad with two other Andorians, Narus and Talu, but they both died in a fire along with several other members of his lodge when he was young. Oren and his twin sister Jaylas were virtually inseparable throughout their childhood. They would often spend entire summers away from home with their parents, who were biologists, and therefore developed an appreciation for nature early on. The two siblings often assisted their mother and father with their research and were home schooled during the winters, when meteorological conditions were to harsh for field study. All this time spent away from other children meant that Oren’s social skills were slow to develop and in some ways never quite did. Throughout life Oren has had difficulty making friends and tends to be unusually reclusive for a member of his species.

Always intrigued by his parents work, he was particularly fascinated by birds and other flying creatures. This was to blossom into a love of flying machines and all things flight related as he matured. Oren’s first job was at the local flying school, at age 14, washing aircraft and it wasn’t long afterwards till he was hard at work on a pilot’s license of his own. He already had the beginnings of a distinguished flying career under his belt by age 19, when he applied to Starfleet Academy.

Although Oren didn’t care for formal instruction, he worked hard in school and got good marks. Thus, early in his Fourth year at the Academy, he had the privilege of becoming a member of the prestigious Nova Squadron flight team. However he was forced to discontinue this activity, as the distraction caused his grades to plummet. Oren spent much of the remainder of his final school year, working to restore his scholastic performance, and managed to graduate with honors. He majored in Turn Of The Millennium Technology and minored in Stellar Cartography.
